Gift cards should be seen as core business

The year 2019 is here and Retain24 summarize the year that has passed. We can see that companies are investing more in the handling of gift cards and in having a gift card system that meets the growing needs in the company, both instore and online. In 2018, both smaller and larger companies have joined Retain24.

– Some great news in the autumn was when McDonald’s chose to sign with us. We will now handle all their gift cards in all channels. We are really looking forward to developing their gift card business forward, ”says Kerstin Svensson, Sales Manager at Retain24.

During the year, several existing customers have also chosen to expand their cooperation with Retain24 to more countries. This is simply done through an integration with the gift card system. Other customers have chosen to add services for example online.

Something that was a matter in 2018 was all kind of digital solutions. For Retain24 and our customers, it is of course important that all distribution and communication about gift cards meets the digital landscape. Therefore, Retain24 has put a lot of emphasis on this in various development projects:

– At the end of the year, we have worked with a completely new web application and the old one that our customers use today will be replaced. The new web application is expected to be completed by the end of the first quarter of 2019 and will offer more adaptation opportunities with possibility of personalized gift cards, better looking layout etc. The application will make gift card an even more important gift, says Claudio Simatovic, CEO of Retain24.

What many don´t know is that gift cards are the most profitable product per square meter. Still, gift cards are not seen as core business for many companies. This is what Retain24 wants to change and highlight for our customers in 2019. More companies need to be better at exposure their gift cards in both store and webshop.

– Each company spends a lot of time getting the customer in to their shop or webshop. It is then extremely important to catch the customer. Thats why companies needs to be better on exposure their gift cards even more. This is an important role in not losing customers and to win the deal! This is something that we at Retain24 will focus on highlighting a little extra for our customers in 2019, Sofie Larsson, Communications Manager at Retain24 explains.
