New subsidiary for Retain24

Together with Joachim Alvarez, Retain24 has setup a new subsidiary. The company, named Verifylr, will offer smartphone coupons. Joachim is a well-known Swedish expert in mobile marketing and was an early pioneer within the area. One of his first campaigns was for unilever owned GB-glace and became an instant success. The campaign offered ice cream checks for smartphones, as a complement to the traditional ice cream checks that were then offered for sale to be sent via mail. The sales exploded, and the number of successful campaigns have since then increased.

”Verifylr will offer both Retain24’s existing customers as well as other retailers selling campaigns through offers to smartphones. To use the smartphone as a marketing channel is ideal when you want to get close to the customer at the point of sale”, explains Claudio Simatovic, CEO of Retain24. ”The coupons and the offers will be sent to the customers smartphones, and will be redeemed the same way as the gift cards”.

Smartphones is the hottest and fastest growing marketing channel of today. A new  report from the analytics company Forresters states that these digital media investments will pass commercial TV within two years. A smartphone is personal and the possibilities for personal campaigns are endless. Any entrepreneur that fails to keep up with this development will lose both revenues and marketing opportunities.

”Verifylr will offer services within mobile marketing, and especially validation of value codes”, says Joachim. ”We have an enormous advantage with Retain24’s system in that it handles and validates value codes in real time. Then add connections to social media for viral spread, and you have the opportunity to create cost efficient campaigns that will effectively bring customers to the store. Also you’re being able to measure the campaigns right down to store level, which makes it great for follow ups.”
