Ving has just launched its new gift card system supplied by Retain24. The old system was designed in the 1990s and needed an upgrade.
“Most of our sales are online nowadays and we did not have a system to allow our customers to pay using a gift card. It was important for the new system to be able to handle it”, said Hans Isacson, Director of Finance at Ving Sverige AB who ordered the new electronic gift card system.
The new system was launched by Ving in Sweden and Norway while Ving’s sister company, Tjäreborg, launched it in Finland. Ving’s sister company in Denmark, Spies, will be launching the system there very soon. Customers will be able to purchase and redeem gift cards at their outlets as well as online throughout the world. Customers can purchase a gift card as a stylishly packaged plastic card or as an SMS or email.
Ving is expecting exciting things from its new electronic gift card.
“We think we will double our sales of gift cards now that they are electronic”, said Hans Isacson.
“Electronic gift cards open up a new world of opportunities and they are so much simpler to use than the old ones. As a result, we believe that more and more people will redeem the cards. Naturally, we are ecstatic about the fact that more people will discover our fantastic products”,continued Hans.
“We are proud that Ving has chosen our system for their electronic gift cards, and we are excited to watch how it will develop”, said Claudio Simatovic, MD of Retain24.
